Procedure 3610C

CHILDREN’S CENTER

The Board of Trustees authorizes the operation of a Children’s Center.

The primary purpose of the Children’s Center is to provide childcare for children of students enrolled in classes at the College. This procedure also applies to children within a documented guardianship. The Center is limited in the number of children it can serve. While striving to enroll all registered children, the Center must abide by the priority list: 1) Children of Western Students; 2) Children of Western Faculty and Staff; 3) Children of Online Students attending partner institutions; 4) Relatives of faculty and staff including grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; 5) employees contracted through the College as approved by the Director of the Children’s Center. Children who are registered after the Center reaches capacity will be placed on a waiting list. After the first day of classes, the waiting list will be prioritized in the order listed above.

The Children’s Center shall be licensed as appropriate by all pertinent licensing entities.

The Board of Trustees shall establish fees for the use of the Center.
