Western Wyoming Community College welcomes you to participate in their non-credit course program Enrich Wyoming – Cultivate your passion.
Enrich Wyoming focuses on three categories: Personal Enrichment, Personal Development, and Senior Citizens. These categories and courses were chosen to help fill a gap in community needs. Many of the new classes will work in tandem with the College’s credit programs.
Enrich Wyoming - Western's non-credit program will no longer be accepting Senior Waivers. All participants will be responsible to pay the full course fee.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT CLASSES - FALL 2025

Course Description:
This hands-on course equips participants with basic life skills to handle common household
and automotive situations with confidence and safety. Students will learn how to perform
basic car maintenance tasks including checking tire pressure, checking oil levels,
and changing a flat tire. The course also covers critical home electrical safety practices
such as understanding circuit breakers, safely resetting them, and knowing what to
do in the event of an electrical shock. Additionally, participants will learn how
and when to safely disconnect electricity and water in the home in case of emergencies
such as floods, electrical faults, or other accidents. This course is ideal for teens,
new homeowners, or anyone seeking greater self-reliance in everyday life.

Course Description:
These four class sessions are divided into two parts: the first two focus on resume
writing, and the last two concentrate on interview skills.
Whether you're new to the job market or considering a career change, a strong resume and effective interview skills are essential to help you stand out. In the resume classes, you’ll receive structured instruction to improve your writing, with guidance on formatting, content, and tailoring your resume to specific jobs so it captures the attention of recruiters and hiring managers.
The interview skills classes will prepare you to clearly articulate your experience, talents, and strengths. You’ll learn about researching companies, practicing responses to common questions, and making a strong first impression. Additional topics include professional communication, active listening, and strategies to appear confident, punctual, and polished.

Course Description:
Adult Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to identify, understand, and
respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adults. This evidence-based
certification course includes 2 hours of self-paced pre-work and 7 hours of interactive
online learning, with breaks included. Participants will gain practical skills to
support friends, family, colleagues, and community members experiencing mental health
crises or substance use issues.
A certificate of completion is awarded at the end of the course.

Course Description:
The Safe Sitter® curriculum is designed exclusively for young teens in grades 6 –
8, and covers the following areas: safety skills, child care skills, first aid & rescue
skills, and life & business skills. Safe Sitter® courses are instructor-led and interactive,
with hands-on demonstrations and skills practice using soft-bodied dolls and medical
manikins.
*Students are asked to bring a lunch that does not require refrigeration or heating.

Course Description:
This beginner-friendly course introduces students to the essential skills needed to
decorate cakes and cupcakes with beautiful buttercream piping. Participants will gain
hands-on experience using various piping tools and tips to create a range of simple
yet impressive decorative designs, including rosettes, shells, borders, and more.
