Western Wyoming Community College welcomes you to participate in their non-credit course program Enrich Wyoming – Cultivate your passion.
Enrich Wyoming focuses on three categories: Personal Enrichment, Personal Development, and Senior Citizens. These categories and courses were chosen to help fill a gap in community needs. Many of the new classes will work in tandem with the College’s credit programs.
Enrich Wyoming - Western's non-credit program will no longer be accepting Senior Waivers. All participants will be responsible to pay the full course fee.

Course Description:
This beginner-friendly course introduces students to the essential skills needed to
decorate cakes and cupcakes with beautiful buttercream piping. Participants will gain
hands-on experience using various piping tools and tips to create a range of simple
yet impressive decorative designs, including rosettes, shells, borders, and more.

Course Description:
Make water safety a family priority! This interactive workshop is designed to help
parents and children learn essential skills for staying safe around pools, lakes,

Course Description:
Elite (Featured Course)
The SASS Elite program offers the most comprehensive self-defense training experience,
combining everything taught in SASS 1 and SASS 2 along with advanced defensive tactics
and awareness strategies rooted in understanding criminal behavior. Participants will
engage in extensive physical training, including skills for responding to threats
involving guns, knives, and multiple assailants. The course concludes with a certificate
welcoming you into SASS Elite.
This is a 16-hour course delivered over 8 weeks. Designed for ages 16 and up. All
fitness levels are welcome.
SASS 1
Participants are trained both physically and mentally to respond to the most common
threats to their safety. This course is foundational to building a community of women
and girls who understand their inherent worth and know how to advocate for it verbally
and physically.
2-hour course. Designed for ages 15 and up. All fitness levels are welcome.
SASS 2
Women and girls review core material from SASS 1 and expand their skills with additional
physical and mental techniques to protect against ground attacks and a variety of
abduction scenarios.

Course Description:
Estate planning is one of the most important components of a cohesive financial and
life plan. It ensures you maintain control in situations where you may not be able
to speak for yourself. In this course, we will explore a variety of tools that can
help you and your family stay organized and protected in the event of incapacitation
or an untimely death.
Topics will include methods for transferring property to beneficiaries, life insurance, trusts, advanced medical directives, and wills.
This course is not a substitute for working with an estate planning attorney. Instead, it serves as an introduction to the tools available, helping you understand when they might apply so you can better identify and communicate your needs when the time comes.

Course Description:
If you are receiving or leaving an inheritance from life insurance, directly inherited
assets, or if you unexpectedly come into a large sum of cash, this course will help
you learn how to set yourself and future generations up for long-term financial success.
Most of the time, wealth is spent down within three generations, often because cash or assets are received with no guidance on how to manage them. In this course, we will discuss how to set expectations and protect your money so it can continue working for your family for generations to come.

Learn about the various tax deductions and credits available to families. We will
discuss the basic impacts of marriage and divorce on your filing status and how that
affects your standard deduction. We will also review the child tax credit, the credit
for other dependents, and how certain Schedule A deductions can support the care of
a disabled loved one, including a parent or child. Additional helpful credits for
young families will also be covered.

This class will be divided into two parts. The first half will focus on resume writing,
while the second half will center on interview skills.
Whether you're new to the job market or considering a career change, a strong resume and effective interviewing skills can help you stand out from the competition. A resume writing class can significantly enhance your ability to craft compelling documents that capture the attention of recruiters and hiring managers. Likewise, being able to clearly articulate your experience, talents, and strengths will make you a more competitive candidate.
The resume portion of the class offers structured instruction to improve your writing skills, with guidance on format, content, and overall impact. You’ll also learn how to tailor your resume to specific job applications.
The interview skills portion will focus on preparation, communication, and active listening. Topics will include researching the company, practicing responses to common interview questions, and making a strong first impression. This course is designed for individuals who plan to retire within the next six years.
We will cover the role of Social Security in retirement income planning, how Social Security interacts with retirement accounts, how spousal benefits work, and how to determine the best age to begin drawing benefits. We will also explore Medicare, including enrollment deadlines, when to consider purchasing a Medicare supplement, and the consequences of enrolling late. In addition, we will review options available when one spouse is eligible for Medicare and the other is not.
