It is the policy of the Board of Trustees that College monies be invested to assure that principal amounts are fully insured and/or guaranteed, and that the income from such investments is maximized.

INVESTING OF COLLEGE MONIES

It is the policy of the Board of Trustees that College monies be invested to assure that principal amounts are fully insured and/or guaranteed, and that the income from such investments are maximized.

All investments shall be made in compliance with any laws and/or rules and regulations governing same.

The Vice President for Administrative Services, upon the advice of the Associate Vice President of Finance, determines the availability of funds that may be invested in instruments other than money market type accounts. The length of investments is determined by various factors including accounts payable and receivable schedules, and may vary for different accounts.

Quotes are obtained by the Vice President for Administrative Services from official depositories. It is the policy of the Board that investments are made with Sweetwater County financial institutions. Results are reviewed with the Board Treasurer who approves each investment recommendation.

Investment information shall be reviewed with the Board of Trustees upon request.
