The Mustang Athletic teams are a vital part of Western and the surrounding community.
Western Athletics has a strong tradition of serving the local community and is honored
to serve an area rich in tradition, natural beauty and friendly people. Our athletes
are proud to serve as role models for the youthful citizens in our community. Mustang
athletes are student-athletes and expected to earn good grades in the classroom and
to be good citizens on and off campus, demonstrating good sportsmanship, dedication,
determination and self-discipline.
The coaches and athletes alike enjoy performing for and interacting with community members, organizations, local business and industry. Mustang Athletics is aligned with Western's Guiding Principles, acknowledging each individual's contributions to a team effort and reinforcing the ideas of excellence, pride and ownership. Our motto is "Good People, Good Students and Good Athletes, in that order."
