At Western, we take pride in meeting the needs of all types of learners. Whether you're returning to college to finish a degree, learning a technical skill, or attending college for the very first time, Western is here to support your goals.

Western offers 31 degree programs and 31certificates so you can follow your passions, achieve your career goals, and secure employment. Already in the workforce? Western now offers 2 Bachelors Degrees in Business Management solely online.

Online Classes

For those students who cannot attend class on campus, many online courses are offered so it’s possible to obtain a degree or certificate while continuing your employment. Smaller classes along with faculty and staff who care make Western the perfect choice. Help with some classes is available through the Peer Tutoring Center.

Western was named the most affordable college in Wyoming, and the third best community college in the nation. We are committed to making higher education accessible to adult learners.

John P. Ellbogen Scholarship

Western Wyoming Community College has been selected by the John P. Ellbogen Foundation board of directors to receive $100,000 to support adult learners with the newly created Ellbogen Opportunity Scholarship: All Students Successful.

The funding is eligible only for students who enroll in courses starting in the fall and meet the following qualifications: are 24 years of age or older; have demonstrated Wyoming residency for not less than three years immediately preceding the application; and have completed and filed a free application for federal student aid for the academic year for which they are applying for a scholarship and have an unmet financial need. Preference will also be given to those who have not already earned an associate or higher degree.

Scholarships are limited to no more than $1500 per student per semester and may be awarded for up to a maximum of two academic years. To inquire, please contact the Financial Aid Department.

Children's Center

Western knows many non-traditional students are also parents. The Children's Center on campus makes it easier for parents to attend classes while their children are well-cared for and close by. Western was the first college in Wyoming to establish a child care center on campus, knowing it was vital to our student-parents success.
