Campus Safety

At Western Wyoming Community College, providing a safe environment in which to live, learn, and work is our main objective. Truly safe campuses can only be achieved through the full cooperation of all students, faculty, and staff.

Western's Protective Services Department works closely with the Student Life staff, Administration, and Housing Department, to increase student awareness and safety while decreasing criminal incidents. Security officers perform routine patrols of all residence halls, classrooms, and office areas on our campus.

Western's goal is for all students, faculty and staff feel safe and comfortable on campus. For more information, visit the campus safety brochure.

An additional method of keeping the campus safe is through the efforts of the Behavior Intervention Team (BIT).  The mission of this team is to recognize patterns of behavior that could compromise student success or campus well-being and proactively intervene through appropriate support services and resource referrals.  For more information, please contact the Dean of Students who serves as the chair of the BIT at (307) 382-1644.
