Apply To Western

Follow the 5 steps below in applying, enrolling, and registering  to become a Mustang at Western Wyoming Community College. If you are applying as an International Student, please visit International Admissions and apply today!

1​​​. ​Complete a Western Wyoming Community College Application. Required for all new and returning students.​ 

Full-Time Student (12 credit hours or more per semester)
Submit an Mustang Admissions Application. This form is for all students planning to attend full-time (12 credit hours or more per semester) or are degree seeking.

*Before you begin the application process, you will need to create an account. The application is FREE and will take you approximately 15 minutes to fill out. Submit the application online and print a copy of the confirmation page for your records. Make sure to check your email for updates on your application status and any additional information that might be needed for acceptance. Once you have been accepted to Western, you will be provided your Western email address for all future communications.

Non-Degree Seeking Students (11 or fewer credit hours per semester)  
If you are planning to attend part-time (11 or fewer credit hours per semester) and are not degree seeking, please use the Non-Degree Seeking Student Registration Form.

*This non-degree seeking student registration form can be used for any term with open registration. Students will be contacted by e-mail concerning any pre-requisites, the availability, and the cost of their registration. Payment is due at the time of registration. For your convenience, we accept Visa or Mastercard over the phone.

2. ​Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)  As early as possible.

Complete and submit a free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or pick up FAFSA forms in the Financial Aid Office located in Mustang Central. For scholarships, a majority of applications open in December and close April 1st. 

3. ​Meet with an Advisor.

New students pursuing a certificate/degree/transfer program are required to see an Advisor for academic advising. With our Interstate Passport this ensures, the transferring is seamless process. Prior to your appointment, you can review the Western Catalog and the Academic Class Schedule. To schedule an appointment, call (307) 382-1677 or email mustangcentral@westernwyoming.edu.  Visit Mustang Central ​for more information. You will also be guided on taking placement tests to help assign you to a level of courses.

4. ​Register for Western classes.​

Register for your classes using the Self-Service menu in MyWestern located on upper right hand corner. No payment is due at the time of registration if you are registering before the payment deadline established for that semester. Make sure to check your schedule for accuracy​​. ​​​

5. Attend Western Orientation.

New students pursuing a certificate/degree/transfer program are required to attend orientation. You will be sent information via your Western email account. Check this account frequently during the weeks leading up to the first day of class.
