Professor of Welding

Rick started welding directly out of high school in 1978. Back then you didn't need a degree to get a good paying job (very different now!). Rick worked other jobs at times, but always came back to welding. From his rig truck to fab shops, welding has given him a good life, and a rewarding career. Rick started instructing at Western in 2015 and found a new path to follow in my field. With 41 years’ experience in practical application, and a year and a half as a CWI, Rick has found a way to pass on the knowledge he has acquired to students with the same passion for welding and inspection.
