Rick began his welding career straight out of high school in 1978, during a time when a degree wasn’t required to secure a well-paying job—something that has changed significantly today. While he explored other professions over the years, he always returned to welding. From working out of his own rig truck to time spent in fabrication shops, welding has provided Rick with a stable, rewarding career and a good life. In 2015, Rick joined Western Wyoming Community College as a Welding Instructor, discovering a new path within his field. With over 41 years of hands-on experience and certification as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Rick is passionate about sharing his knowledge with students who share his enthusiasm for welding and inspection.
