SkillsUSA is a national organization that empowers students to become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible American citizens. Uniquely student-led, SkillsUSA is designed to give members the tools they need to grow both personally and professionally. It focuses on three key areas: technical skills grounded in academics, personal skills, and workplace skills.

Through hands-on experiences such as chapter meetings, competitions, leadership conferences, and community service activities, student members develop the confidence and competence they need to succeed in their chosen careers. By participating, students learn to take initiative, work effectively in teams, and demonstrate the kind of professionalism that employers value. To learn more about SkillsUSA and how to participate through Western, please speak with your instructor or program advisor.
