With a background in physics and applied mathematics, my academic focus lies in engineering applications related to fluid mechanics and nonlinear dynamics. Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of teaching and mentoring aspiring engineers, helping them build both technical expertise and problem-solving skills. My dedication to education and innovation has been recognized through roles such as Department Chair and as a recipient of the Innovative Instructor of the Year award. Teaching at a rural junior college has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. The genuine curiosity and determination of our students make this institution a special place to teach. Working side by side with them on hands-on design projects, I have built lasting relationships that extend well beyond the classroom. It has been an honor to see both local and international students begin their engineering journeys here and stay in touch as they move on to four-year universities and professional careers. My instructional approach balances hands-on learning, traditional lecture, and structured problem[1]solving sessions both inside and outside the classroom. Our engineering program is built on collaboration, with students supporting one another through design projects and computing lab problem-solving sessions between classes and during office hours. Students know they are always welcome to ask questions and seek guidance—even after graduation. Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving as a reference for many students as they pursue opportunities in academia and industry. Beyond teaching, I enjoy exploring the outdoors through hiking, camping, and ski touring—interests shaped by my home states of Colorado and Montana. I also play guitar in my free time and value the moments I get to spend with my family. I am always excited to help students develop their skills, find their passion in engineering, and take the next steps toward their future careers.
