Electrical Instrumentation FAQs

Due to the highly hands-on nature of the program, a fully online option is not currently available. The skills taught—such as wiring, instrumentation calibration, PLC programming, and troubleshooting—require in-person lab work and hands-on training with industry-standard equipment. These essential experiences cannot be fully replicated in an online environment.

Yes! Western partners with local industry to offer internships and job placement support. Many students begin working in the field before they even graduate.

Graduates from Western are eligible to transfer to many 4-year institutions.  Western also now offers two Bachelor of Applied Science degrees.
