Internships

Communication internships are provided to students in the form of a course and for a variable amount of course credit (1 to 4 credit hours). These internships are meant to enhance students' learning experience by allowing them to integrate their classroom knowledge with practical and professional experience. Students are expected to apply their knowledge of Communication theories, perspectives, principles, and concepts during their internship to improve the overall experience for themselves and their selected organization. Each internship will focus on one of the following areas: research, field experience, or public presentation.

* A prerequisite of 15 completed credit hours of college-level coursework (and a minimum GPA of 2.5) is required before students may enroll in Communication internship coursework.
