The curriculum is tailored for students who are not as interested in the mathematical theory behind computing technology as they are interested in focusing their skills on programming.

Yes, Western offers all of the required classes in the curriculum, as well as many electives, completely online. Working remotely with instructors and fellow students has practical use cases when pursuing a career in Software Development since many programming jobs can be remote.

Graduates from Western Wyoming Community College are eligible to transfer to any 4-year institution. Western partnered with many regional colleges and universities to develop the curriculum for this program, and we have transfer agreements with even more. 

Because this program works closely with local industry partners to help us create applicable projects to work on, a number of students have found internship opportunites from those industry connections.
