The Peer Tutor Center is located on the Rock Springs Campus in room 2006 and is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m.
to 12 p.m. Tutoring is done by appointment or students may drop in and ask for help. Tutors also work in the Learning Center math lab and as conversation
partners for international students.
The Peer Tutor Center recruits tutors from the student body each semester. Tutors are paid through the center to provide tutoring services. The criteria

The applicant must have taken the class they want to tutor in and successfully passed it with at least a "B"
The applicant must be recommended by an instructor

Each semester, tutors are given the opportunity to participate in a Tutor Training Internship. This one credit internship provides training in tutoring
techniques, weekly discussion on tutoring issues and certification as a CRLA Tutor. This certification is transferable to other institutions with a CRLA Tutoring program.
