Phi Theta Kappa students to share video presentation on addiction Dec. 2 as part of their Honors in Action Project

Images like this of lonely, frightened drug addicts do not communicate the whole truth about lives impacted by addiction.

Members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at Western Wyoming Community College will share their video presentation, “Drug Addiction: Our Stories,” on Friday, Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 1302 on the Rock Springs campus. Campus and community members are invited to attend this free, informative program.

Each year, Phi Theta Kappa is responsible for conducting an Honors in Action project. The theme this year was “Nostalgia and Pathos.” The students decided to look at society’s assumptions about drug addiction and at the histories and memories of those suffering from drug addiction. The PTK students conducted interviews and research, and produced a video presentation about their findings.

Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society for students at two-year colleges.

Western is pleased to host campus and community members for this important and informative student project.
