ROCK SPRINGS – The Community Education Program at Western Wyoming Community College will offer a Rock and Mineral Collecting class beginning Tuesday, Feb. 24, on the Rock Springs campus. Participants will learn how to organize and display their rock and mineral collections and how to identify and explain their rock and mineral samples to others. The class meets each Tuesday for five weeks from 6 – 7:30 p.m..
Topics covered in the class include: Labeling; Cleaning; Displaying; Curating; Valuing; and related information. Each week, rock and mineral samples will be provided to class members for them to label and keep.
