About Our Teams

Men's Basketball
First-year Head Coach Jason Doerr and First-Year Assistant Coach Josh Fearing are excited about this 2017-2018 season. This year's roster of twelve players includes local high school standout Carter Rosette. The Mustangs will be home for 14 contests this year. All home contests for all regular season Mustang Athletic events is free.

Women's Basketball
First-year Head Coach Mike Swenson and former Mustang Basketball player and Second-year Assistant Coach, Becca Lewis-Downs make up the new Women's Basketball coaching staff for the 2017-2018 season. The team is working hard like all Mustang teams are to be "Good People, Good Students and Good Athletes" in that order.

Coach Art Castillo is in his ninth year as Head Coach for the Mustangs. One highlight of this 2017-2018 season is that Western Wyoming Community College Wrestling will be hosting the Rocky Mountain District Championships (the National Qualifying Tournament) on February 10, 2018. Castillo is joined by Assistant Coaches Rick Yoak, Andy McCulley, Dillon Karajanis, Josh Nacey, & Bill Hodges this season.

First-year Head Coach Jen Salmon is coaching this season with Second-year Assistant Coach Fredann Soto. As the team strives to be successful in the community, in the classroom and on the court, they live by the Mustang Volleyball motto, which is to be: Mentally tough, Understanding, Self-Disciplined, Team-oriented, Accountable, Notable, Genuine and Sincere in all that their student-athletes do.

Men's Soccer
Coach Jeff Atkinson has been coaching Mustang Men's Soccer for thirteen years, counting this season. He is assisted by First-year Assistant Coaches, Tanner Trumble (a former WWCC Student-athlete standout), and Ryan Payne. The team is expected to be very competitive in Region IX while working to excel academically and as young role models for future Mustangs.

Women's Soccer
Coach Jeff Atkinson is in his third year, coaching the Women's Soccer team. He is joined, on the coaching staff by Brady Baldwin, who has been with the program for five years. The team is looking to advance WWCC Women's Soccer into the record books with most wins in a season while achieving an overall 3.0+ Team GPA, which is a goal for all Mustang Athletic teams.
