About Athletic Director Lu Sweet:
Lu Sweet is beginning her tenth year at Western Wyoming Community College in 2017. Prior to
working at Western, Lu worked in Sweetwater County School District #1, Rock Springs, for
twelve years as a school administrator. Lu's collegiate athletic background includes coaching
women's basketball at the University of Kansas and men's basketball at MSU-Northern. She
played basketball and volleyball at MSU-Northern for the Skylights. Lu started working
part-time at Western in 1996, when she was the Assistant Men's and Women's Basketball Coach,
under Gerald Mattinson and Kim Buston, respectively. Lu has her master's degree in Athletic
Administration and her doctorate in Educational Administration. She lives in Rock Springs with
Lu writes a monthly lifelong learning editorial for the Rocket Miner and Green River Star.

About Athletic Trainer Kristin Tammany:
A native of Wyoming, Kristen joins us in her second year as the Mustangs Athletic Trainer.
She received her Bachelors of Science majoring in Athletic Training from Colorado Mesa University in 2016, and received her Associate
of Science majoring in Athletic Training from Central Wyoming Community College. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers
Association (NATA), Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers Association (RMATA), and Wyoming Athletic Trainers Association (WATA). She is
Board Certified by the NATA Board of Certification and Licensed by the State of Wyoming.
She grew up in Riverton and worked on the family ranch during the summers in Lander.
When she isn't taking care of athletes she likes to be with friends and family or anything where she gets to be outside (hunting,
fishing, camping, ranching or riding with her husband on their motorcycle.) She is an officer for the American Legion Auxiliary and the
Unknown Saints Riding Club where she donates time to local veterans, their families and the community.
She resides here in Rock Springs with her husband William and their two fur babies, Dusty and Freyja.
