Ambassador Biographies

Ambassador Gabbie Bowie
Hello, my name is Gabrielle Bowie, but most just call me Gabbie! I was born in a small town in Washington state and ended up moving to Evanston, Wyoming when I was in elementary school. I just recently graduated from Evanston High School in 2016. I chose to go to Western because of all the opportunities offered with reasonable rates that is sort of close to my family. I am currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and will graduate this coming spring! I have always enjoyed helping people in any way that I can and I love spending time with kids. In my free time, I love to listen to music and hang out with my friends and family. I also spend a lot of my time practicing my clarinet and taking pictures of just about anything! I'm looking forward to new opportunities and meeting new people!


Ambassador Nicole Cukale
Hello! My name is Nicole Cukale, pronounced Soo-Kay-Lee. I am very excited to be an ambassador this year and to embrace the opportunities it will give me as a leader. I plan on majoring in Musical Theatre and minoring in Education. Some things I have accomplished thus far in my life are: graduating third in my class, being accepted to the Next Step Prep Academy of Musical Theatre two years in a row, receiving All-State in drama, and participating in state volleyball, basketball, and track during high school. Some of my goals include: receiving a Bachelor's in Musical Theatre, being in a Broadway production, and having a career in the theatre and film industry. Information I would like people to know about me is that I love being called by my last name (Soo-Kay-Lee) because I believe it's something unique about me and makes me memorable. I also very much enjoy human contact and socialization and love making friends. Lastly, I give a pretty good neck massage :-). I look forward to my first year at Western and hope to learn a lot and meet lots of people!


Ambassador Ryan Curtis
Hello, my name is Ryan Curtis. I graduated from Farson-Eden High School and plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering. My goal in life is to become a pilot for the Air Force. Some of my greatest accomplishments include: competing for the state football title in War Memorial Stadium, winning the Down Under Football Championship in Australia, various shooting awards, and being accepted as a Student Ambassador for WWCC of course!


Ambassador Tiffany Diaz
Hello! My name is Tiffany Diaz, I was born and raised here in Rock Springs. This year I am a Sophomore at Western, I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering and am planning to graduate in the Spring and then transfer to UW in the fall. I am very passionate about climate change awareness and am planning to make The Eco Club a great club this year, so if you're in let me know! We are going to be doing some really great things this year! I am super excited for this year and can't wait to meet a bunch of new people and see some familiar faces!


Ambassador Ryann Dollar
Hello, My name is Ryann Dollar! I'm from Pinedale, WY but was born in Rock Springs, WY. I was raised in a small town in Upstate New York, only recently did a move back to WY. Back in Pinedale I lived with my parents and younger brother. Right now I'm aiming toward the medical field as either becoming a dermatologist or speech pathologist. I'm super excited to see what this year brings!


Ambassador Jean Gasominari
Hi, My name is Jean Gasominari and I was born in Masisi, a territory in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Due to war and conflicts that erupted in the 90s, my family and I were forced to move to Rwanda where I was raised, grew up, and stayed Until April 2016 when I came to America. I chose to attend WWCC because of the quality education it has provided for me. I am pursuing an associate degree in Nursing, and I am planning on transferring to The University of Wyoming and pursuing my Bachelors Degree. I play a lot of sports and soccer always comes first. I am happy to be a student ambassador as it opens the gate to new opportunities and meeting new people. I like listening to music, trying new things, and spending my spare time with friends.


Ambassador Alexis Lehmann
My name is Alexis Lehmann, I have grown up in Farson Wyoming and just recently graduated in May 2017. I am so very excited to be an ambassador at Western Wyoming Community College. The reason that I chose Western is because of the amazing financial aspect and because it is close to home (I am just not ready to leave home quite yet). I am planning on getting my associates in Pre-Health and then transferring to a dental hygiene school in Sheridan, Wyoming. My favorite hobby is sports and enjoy playing every single one possible; but besides that I love being outside fishing or hiking with friends and family. I am very excited about the new journey that Western is about to take me on.


Ambassador Savannah McCauley
Hey everyone! My name is Savannah and I'm a sophomore from Green River. I'm majoring in social science, and I really enjoy exploring all the different fields it has to offer. I'm excited for this upcoming year, because I know it will be filled with amazing learning and growing opportunities not only for me, but for everyone around me as well. I look forward to being involved on campus and getting to know as many people as I can, and I hope being in the ambassador program will be one step toward that goal!


Ambassador Britney Nisson
Hi! My name is Britney Merritt and I am from Afton, Wyoming which is more commonly referred to as Star Valley. While in Star Valley I lived with my mom and dad, Rick and Amy, and my three siblings Riley, McKell, and Kenna. I recently got married on June 24th and couldn't be happier! I am currently a Sophomore here at Western and I am studying Elementary Education. I love working with kids and can't wait to be an Elementary school teacher. Eventually I will have an adorable family of my own! I love sports, singing and anything outdoors, oh, and my Husband of course ;). I also love learning and trying new things and meeting new people. I am on the women's soccer team here at Western and I love my team. After my sophomore year, I am planning on attending Weber State University with my new husband, Spencer Nisson.


Ambassador Kayle Rippetoe
My name is Kayle Rippetoe and I am a sophomore at WWCC. My major is Accounting and this is my second year being a student ambassador. I have been involved with cheerleading all through high school in Mountain View, Wyoming. I grew up in Bridger Valley and have lived in Fort Bridger my whole life. I was captain of the cheer team my senior year and co-captain my junior year. At state my junior year the non-stunt team in which I was a part of took second. During high school I was also a part of other clubs such as FCCLA, Art Underground and National Honors Society. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors as long as it includes a shower nearby. I also like hanging out with family and friends and being active.


Ambassador Jennifer Rocha
My name is Jennifer Rocha! I live in Green River, but I'm originally from Utah. I like to go out with friends and family. I love being outdoors and being active. I am planning on getting my associates in Elementary Education in 2019. I have four sisters, Malexy, Alondra and Modesta. I absolutely love my job at The Green River Recreation Center, and I'm excited to be a Mustang!


Ambassador Sulem Velasquez
Hi, My name is Karen Sulem Velasquez. I am 19 years old and I am originally from Comayagua, Honduras. I have lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming for six months now and I love it! I came to Western because of the great opportunities they offer to International Students like me. I am planning to get my Bachelor's Degree at Oregon State University in Chemical Engineering after receiving my Associate's in Engineering from Western. I am so happy and grateful to be part of this amazing team!


Ambassador Devyn Williams
Hello, My name is Devyn Williams! I've lived in Rock Springs, Wyoming my whole life with my mom, dad and older sister .There was one point where I lived in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho for four months, but moved back here to continue my freshman year of High School. I decided to move back because of the educational opportunities I could get through the Rock Spring High School Health Academy. Right now I am aiming towards my associates degree in Health Science so one day I can become a Radiation Tech or Therapist. After a year here to complete a few prerequisites I plan on joining the Laramie County Community College Radiology Program so after two years I'll be a Radiology Tech. Then I plan on working as a tech for maybe a year to see if I want to further my education to become a Radiation Therapist. My hobbies are always changing but as of right now they include fishing, baking, going to concerts, and changing my hairstyle constantly. I look forward to being an Ambassador my freshman year of college at Western and can't wait to meet more people within our college community.


Ambassador Beatrice Wilson
Hello, my name is Beatrice Wilson! I've lived here in Rock Springs, Wyoming my entire life with my Mom, Dad, sister, two brothers and two dogs! I am the youngest in my family. My plan is to become a dental hygienist and in order to do that I need to complete the prerequisites for Dental Hygiene School. I plan to accomplish this at WWCC. After Western, I plan on pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at a Dental Hygiene School. I absolutely love my current job at Western's Pool as a lifeguard! My hobbies include playing piano, reading, watching movies/TV, playing video games, and playing with dogs!
