Dance Performance Opportunities

Annually, the company holds their Spring Dance Concert, travels to the American College Dance Festival for adjudication, and often tours across the West.

The Guest Artist Program boasts national and international artists that engage with students as teachers, choreographers and performers. Choreographers travel to campus and work with students in residencies that last anywhere from one week to a full year, with a focus on making work that is challenging for students and innovative within the dance field. The WWCC Dance Program also is the home to the Propelling Professional Performance Project, where students rehearse and perform with professionals in a new, original work by Dance Faculty.

The Dance Program and the student Urban Movement club co-sponsor the STUDIO SESSIONS: a showing of student work each semester. STUDIO SESSIONS are a place for students to perform their original work, ranging in dance, music, visual art, spoken word and digital art.
