When you are using the computer equipment in the Office Information Systems Lab (room 1448 or 1430), please observe the following rules:
NO food or drink is permitted by the computers. Please leave your drinks by the door or table when entering the lab and pick them up on the way out.
No children of any age are allowed in the lab.
Be considerate of the other people working in the lab. Remember it is a classroom. Do not shout or engage in otherwise disruptive behavior. If you wish to visit with someone, please
leave the lab. NO PROFANITY, no matter how frustrated you may get.
If you are using a computer for personal chatting or general web surfing, you may be asked to give up the machine for a student who needs it for course work. Remember, the lab is a
classroom. If you are not able to read your mail or use the web without sharing it with your neighbors, you will be asked to leave.
The laser printers in the OIS lab are printing ONLY school-related materials. Do not print excessive copies. If you need multiple copies of a printout, please take it to the WWCC Print
Do not burn music, applications, or games CD's (copyrighted material).
Do not download any programs to the machines in the OIS lab.
If you have a cell-phone or pager, either turn it off or turn it to vibration mode. Please step outside of the lab to use your phone.
The computer, printers, and monitors are electronic equipment and should be treated with care. Do not try to move or adjust the equipment or put the keyboards on your lap. If you have a
problem, please ask for help.
Please clean up your work area. Paper recycling bins for used paper are available by the counter or by the desk toward the North lab exit.
Lab assistants will give a ten-minute warning before closing time. Plan your exit activities so that you are out the door before the closing time.
If you choose not to abide by these rules, you may be asked to leave the lab.
