  • Your deposit acts as your place in line to receive your requested room style. The sooner you turn in your deposit the more likely it is that you will receive your first preference on room style selection. 

  • You can pay the deposit over the phone at (307) 382-1613 or through your MyWestern account (click "Student Finance" then the "Deposits" tab.

  • Please note that only $125 of the housing deposit is refundable as the other $25 is a processing fee.  Any fall housing cancellations that occur on or after August 1 will be a forfeiture of the entire housing deposit.  Any spring housing cancellations that occur on or after January 1 will be a forfeiture of the entire housing deposit.  As long as a current housing deposit is on-file with the Housing Department, there is no need to pay an additional deposit each year.
  • Make sure to check your MyWestern. This is where you will find the Housing Handbook and Housing forms to complete!  
  • All students who live in the residence halls must submit a copy of their MMR (2 doses) and Meningitis immunizations (must be given after your 16th birthday) to the Dean of Students Office. Records can be faxed to 307-382-7665 or emailed. You may also bring or mail a copy to us.

Western Resident Assistants

Become part of the Western Housing team today!

Resident Assistant help supervise residents, develop a sense of community, and create fun events. RAs receive free housing and a scholarship while holding an RA position. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a positive role model for all students. 
  • Participate in RA Training two weeks prior to each semester. 
  • Several different administrative duties. 
  • Community Development and Resident Support. 
  • Plan and execute housing events. 
  • Desk shifts on weekdays and weekends.

Qualified Individuals will be notified about interview dates and times after applications are reviewed by the hiring committee. Not all individuals may be selected for an interview.
