The Western Wyoming Community College Men’s Basketball team is coming off their best 3 year run in school history and look to build upon their solid foundation. Coach Soza and Coach Pearce begin their 5th year leading the Mustangs, and have an overall record of 84-30 the past four years. During this time, they have developed: 

3 All- Americans

2020: Manel Ayol

2021/2022: Dayne Prim

4 Academic All-Americans

2021: Chase Stoeger, Chase Critchfield

2022: Andre Cruz, Zion Ruckard

2- Region 9 North Conference Titles

1- Region 9 Title

Also, during this time a number of student-athletes have earned scholarships to four-year institutions. 

Obi Agu- Northeastern State University, Trey Marble-Illinois Springfield, Jalen Blaize- Culver Stockton, Sindou Cisse- Black Hills State, LeChaun Duhart-University of Maine, Manel Ayol-University of Hawaii, Sullivan Menard-Whitworth, Malakai Olson-Southern Virginia, Dayne Prim-Northwestern State, Trey Pierce-Radford, Trevor Trost-Fort Lewis, Azarien Stephens- Rogers State, Andre Cruz- Incarnate Word, Derek Lionberger-Southern Virginia. 

The Mustangs return a solid core who won 25 games last year, along with a Region 9 North Conference Championship in 2022, Zion Ruckard, Chase Hettinger, Justis Reese, Lain Mitchelson, Demetrius Davenport and Charlie Harris Jr. Also returning is local redshirt, Alan Martinez. 

The Mustangs have added transfers, Hugo Ferreira (Cleveland State), Franklin Agu (Midland College) and Chok Garang (Northeastern Oklahoma A&M). Also, joining the Mustangs are true freshman Eddie McPhee, Tyson Hawkins, Micah Pierce and Jackson Keil
