The Western Wyoming Community College Men’s Basketball teaming is coming off a solid year with a 15-15 record and a trip to the Region IX Tournament. Coach Soza begin his 7th year as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach for the Mustangs and has an overall record of 117-59. As well as, 24 student-athletes moving on to four schools, 13 Academic All Americans, 3 All-Americans, 3 Conference Player of the Year, 2 Region IX North Titles, and 1 Region IX Title.

Moving on from last year’s team are:

Eddie McPhee—St Mary’s University (D2)

Micah Pierce—Eckard College (D2)

Christain Adun-Tennessee Southern (NAIA)

Chok Garang—USAO (NAIA)

The Mustangs will be welcoming a plethora of newcomers in addition to a limited number of returners off a 15-win team.  Returners Amari Westmoreland-Vendiola (Kahuku, HI), Trevon Chambers (Denver, CO), & Predrag Savic (Serbia), along with redshirts David DeBoar (Casper, WY), Gvidas Laurinaitis (Vilnius, Lithuania) & Lovelle Marble (Denver, CO) are expected to take on a leadership role and help the newcomers.

The Mustangs have added three transfers, Alvin Cole (Coffeyville), Makiah Tarver (Eastern Wyoming) and Vilhelm Bodingh (Vincennes) who  should make an immediate impact. Also joining the Mustangs are true freshmen Jacovey Campbell (McKinney, TX), Josh Gosar (Pinedale, WY), Kingley Gyesi-Bisah (Newcastle, Australia), Yair Aburus (Tenafly, NJ) Gediminas Alisas (Vilnius, Lithuania), and Filip Rypdal-Overas (Asker, Norway).
