The Western Wyoming Community College Men's Basketball team looks to have a fresh start for the 2019-20 season. Coach Steve Soza begins his second year as Head Coach over the Mustangs, who look to compete at an optimal level. Coach Soza comes from Northeastern Junior College, where he spent 10 years as an assistant coach for Eddie Trenkle. While at NJC, the Plainsmen boasted a 93% graduation rate, and he helped produce three Junior College All-Americans, over 20 Division I student-athletes, and a Region IX Championship.

The Mustangs will feature six sophomores along with some new faces for the upcoming season. Three local players join the team this year. Chase Stoeger from Green River, Derek Lionberger from Rock Springs and Lain Mitchelson from Farson.
