Basketball

The Western Wyoming Community College Men's Basketball team is coming off their best season in school history, 30-4 and their second ever Region IX Championship. Coach Soza begins his 3rd year as the Head Men's Basketball Coach for the Mustangs, and has an overall record of 43-20. Through his two years he and his staff have placed seven student-athletes at the four year level and have graduated all freshmen who have entered the program and have stayed for two years.

The Mustangs return a solid core from thier 2019-20 Region IX Championship team in
Dayne Prim, Trey Pierce, Chase Stoeger, Justin Boley and Malakai Olson. Redshirt freshmen
Lain Mitchelson and Derek Lionberger and Kok Daw are expected to make contributions
throughout the 2020-21 season. The Mustangs have also added seven new faces to the
program: Sullivan Menard (Wasilla, AK), Jerry Iliya (Phoenix, AZ), Marcus Collins
(Seattle, WA), Tyrone Foster (Bronx, NY), Chase Critchfield (Evanston, WY), Iby Lynn
(Hillside, NJ), and Justis Reese (Rock Springs, WY).
