The Western Wyoming Community College Men’s Basketball teaming is coming off a solid year with a 17-14 record and a trip to the Region IX Tournament. Coach Soza begin his 8thas the Head Men’s Basketball Coach for the Mustangs and has an overall record of 134-73. Through his seven years he and his staff have placed eighteen student athletes at the four-year level and three at the professional level. Moving on from last years team are:

The Mustangs are returning a core with a plethora of experience, led by 5’7 point guard, Jacovey Campbell out of McKinney, Texas. His dynamic playing making ability, along with sharp shooting guards 6’6 Yair Aburus (Tenafly, NJ) and 6’6 Gvidas Laurinaitis (Vilnius, Lithuania) have the potential to be an explosive backcourt with unlimited range. Also returning are 6’5 explosive combo forward Kinglsey Gyesi-Bisah (Sydney, AUS) and 6’10 stretch forward Filip Rypdal Overas (Asker, Norway), who have both shown flashes of their ability as true freshmen.
Also, joining the Mustangs are transfers Caelum Harris (Nashville, TN) & Devon Lawson (Oxford, UK). The Mustangs added a herd of newcomers, Carter Funk (Twin Falls, ID), Sean Pendleton (Boulder City, NV), Tremmel Darden (Las Vegas, NV), Paulius Narvilas (Vilius, LTH), Anderw Moneyhun (Rock Springs, WY), Olivier Nicolas (Terrebonne, QUE), Aden Reese (Farson, WY) and Arrington Purvis (Rock Springs, WY).
