The 2024-25 season was another historic season for the Mustangs. They won their first ever National Duals Championship and had an overall season dual record of 17-1, with their only loss coming on the road to the University of Wyoming. The Mustangs won their 8th straight Region IX / Plains District Championship. At the NJCAA National Championships, the Mustangs finished 3rd with seven All-Americans, including one National Champion, Dmarian Lopez at 285lbs.
The 2025-26 return five All-Americans from last year. Zach Marrero (7th at 141lbs.), Dimitri Alarcon (2nd at 141lbs.), Tommy Dalton (2nd at 149lbs.), Hixon Canto (6th at 157lbs.), and Banks Love (6th at 184lbs.). The Mustangs also return two round-of-12 guys form the national tournament in Banks Norby at 165lbs., and Francisco Ayala at 197lbs. The Mustangs look to improve on their third-place finish with another strong recruiting class. Some of the new faces include 2x Oklahoma Champ, Stockton Allen, 4x Wyoming Champ, Nathan Fish, 4x Wyoming Champ and Dave Schultz Award winner, Liam Fox, 2x Wyoming Champ Kelten Crow, and Trevyn Gates, a transfer from Purdue University.
The Mustangs will begin their season with a home opener as they host the University of Wyoming on Nov. 1st. The season, the Mustangs will also host the Region IX / Plains District Championships on February 21st, in Rushmore Gymnasium. Join us this season as we prepare for the NJCAA National Championships in Council Bluffs, IA March 6th and 7th.
