National Champions! The 2022-2023 Season was a great year for the Mustangs! They earned the programs first ever National Championship with 134 points and had eight All-Americans! Coach Castillo was named the NJCAA National Coach of the Year, additionally, the Mustangs won thier 6th straight Region 9/ Plains District Championship, where Castillo earned his 6th Region Coach of the Year honor. The Mustangs had three NWCA Scholar All-Americans and four NJCAA All-Academic Team members last season. 

The Mustangs return five All-Americans from last season's National Championship team Bridger Ricks (4th;125lbs.), Cody Phelps (3rd;133lbs.), Chris Lopez (4th;149lbs.), Jayden Luttrell (6th;157lbs.), Darion Johnson (2nd;184lbs.), as well as 2022 All-American River Wardle (7th; 149lbs.). 

This experienced group will be complemented very well by one of Coach Castillo's best recruiting classes to date. There are 51 total individual State Champions who on the 23-24 roster including a top 100 recruit, Dmarian Lopez, 4x State Champion, Will Harmon, and Cadet Freestyle World Silver medalist, Francisco Ayala. 

The Mustangs begin thier season on the road agianst the Univerisity of Wyoming on Sunday, November, 5th.
