Chili Cook-Off Event

Chili Cook-Off Will Now Be on Western’s Campus!

Western is set to host the fourth annual Homecoming Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, February 3 from 11AM to 2PM.  Chili will be served this year on Western's Rock Springs campus in the atrium. The event is free to the public and chili participants.  

Businesses and individuals in Sweetwater County are invited to enter their winning chili recipe at Western’s Chili Cook-Off. Western will accept registration forms until January 25. In a blind taste test, judges will pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners for each red and green chilis. There will also be a People's Choice Award for the public to vote on their favorite recipe. Love to eat good chili? Drop by Western and do some taste testing! The Homecoming Chili Cook-Off is family-fun for everyone. On the day of, attendees will be given a raffle card to get stamped at chili stations and then, after so many stamps, exchange their cards for tickets to win prizes. At Western’s basketball games that afternoon, winners will be announced. You need not to be present to win.  There is also a People’s Choice Award allowing you to cast your vote for the best chili recipe.  

Following the Chili Cook-Off, participants are encouraged to cheer on the Mustangs during women's and men's basketball games against Laramie County Community College in the Rushmore Gym, starting at 2PM!
