Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Novice CDL Training Course
This credit-bearing course is offered as a program-specific requirement, currently for Powerline students only. It prepares students to take the state-required Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) test, with a specialized focus on the energy service industry—all while earning college credit.
Training is designed to meet the real-world demands of both on-highway and off-highway driving conditions, using late-model tractors, loaded trailers, tankers, and high center of gravity loads.
Upon successful completion of the course, students are responsible for arranging and completing their DOT CDL exam to receive their commercial driver’s license.
