Internships depend on Western's partnerships with local employers and are regularly available in accounting, management, and marketing. Opportunities exist with both large and small businesses. If you're interested in an internship, speak with a full-time Business faculty member.

Clubs

Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA)
ALPFA is a national organization dedicated to empowering Latino professionals and students pursuing careers in accounting, finance, and related fields. With a strong focus on career growth and professional development, ALPFA offers mentoring, leadership training, and extensive networking opportunities. The organization partners with more than 200 Fortune 1000 companies, providing members with direct access to valuable career connections and resources.

Beta Alpha Psi
Students pursuing degrees in business, accounting, or finance may benefit from joining Beta Alpha Psi—the International Honor Organization for Financial Information Students and Professionals. With local chapters on many campuses, the society offers valuable networking, leadership, and professional development opportunities, especially for accounting majors in a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program. Founded in 1919, Beta Alpha Psi has over 300,000 members worldwide.

Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society recognizing top-performing business students enrolled in programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Membership requires a one-time fee and offers lifelong benefits, including networking, career support, and access to exclusive events like the annual Global Leadership Summit.

DECA
DECA is an international student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Through real-world projects, competitive events, and leadership opportunities, DECA helps students develop professional skills, build confidence, and connect with industry professionals. Membership is open to high school and college students, and many chapters offer virtual participation options.

FBLA-PBL (Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda)
FBLA-PBL is a premier national organization for business students, with chapters across the U.S. and over 230,000 members—including current students and business professionals. The organization supports members through leadership development, academic competitions, and educational programs. It also hosts an annual leadership conference that offers valuable networking and professional growth opportunities.
