Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors serve as enthusiastic representatives of the college, promoting student engagement, assisting with recruitment efforts, and supporting campus events. This leadership opportunity allows students to build communication, teamwork, and event planning skills while making a meaningful impact on campus life.
Student Ambassadors guide prospective students on campus tours, elementary school dino tours, and help execute admission events. Student Ambassadors receive $1000 scholarship per semester. My name is Joanna Crane, and I’m a sophomore at Western Wyoming College studying Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I’m also earning a Preschool Development and Entrepreneurship Certificate and serving as a Student Ambassador. In my free time, I enjoy baking, crafting, riding horses, and spending time with friends and family. I love being involved on campus, meeting new people, and helping students feel welcome at Western.
Hello, my name is Jovie Quillinan, born and raised in Evanston, Wyoming. I am attending Western for the second year, showing leadership throughout the school as a student ambassador. I am seeking my major in education, currently working on my Early Childhood and Elementary associate's degree here at Western. Then I plan on making my way to the University of Wyoming seeking the dual bachelor's degree of Elementary Education K-6 and Special Education grades 6-12. I enjoy spending time outside; for example, I enjoy paddleboarding, camping, fishing, sitting by the fire, and playing fetch with my dogs. I chose Western to be close to home and the Education Program is the best! I can’t wait to continue my journey and make a positive impact on students' lives.
Hi my name is Leila Sophia Olivas and I’m from Evanston Wyoming. I am a freshman at Western Wyoming and I'm studying Early childhood education to hopefully become a teacher. I also have my substitute teaching permit so hopefully I'll be subbing while here. Since I was a kid I wanted to become a teacher just like my mother. In my free time I run trails, hike, bake,and hang out with my family and friends. I also really love making friends and meeting new people!!
This is Tara Countryman. I am a student from Western Wyoming College and a student ambassador. I grew up in a small town called Kemmerer Wyoming. I am working on my general studies degree with a focus on psychology and communications. Then I will be graduating in the fall with my associates degree next, I will be transferring to SBU (South Baptist University) to get my bachelor's degree with a major in Missions and a Minor in Psychology and Communications. I chose Western because I originally wanted to get my general studies degree to be a psychiatric aid but on all honestly, I was unsure of what I wanted to do, and I knew I already had some credits done from Western through the dual concurrent program. I also knew that I needed to get my foot in the door for college to figure out what I wanted to, and Western did exactly that. In my free time I love to spend time with my family when I can and annoy my dog as well! Some advice I would give future students is to do all your work including the extra credit assignments because when you do not do well one test can make a big difference.
Hi! My name is Madilyn Dayton, and I’m from Cokeville, Wyoming. I am a freshman studying Elementary Education at Western Wyoming College because I’ve always had a passion for working with kids and hope to become a teacher. In my free time, I enjoy playing sports and golfing with my brothers, spending time with my friends and family, and staying involved in my community.
