Western Offers 3 International Cultural Tours Next Summer
Western Wyoming Community College (Western) will host three international tours in the summer of 2022. The tours explore the British Isles, Japan, and the “Around the World” tour takes place in the British Isles, Japan and Morocco. The College is hosting an informational meeting for those interested in participating in a trip on September 16 at 7 PM, in room 1404 or via Zoom.
The British Isles tour is a nine-day journey through England, Ireland, and Wales. Participants will explore Killarney, Blarney, Dublin, Holyhead, British Midlands, Stratford-upon-Avon, Oxford, and London. The dates for the tour are May 30 through June 7, 2022.
Those who join the Japan Tour will spend 11 days in Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka, experiencing what the Asian country has to offer. The tour dates are June 14 through June 24.
The “Around the World” tour circles the globe and allows participants to visit three continents: Europe, Africa, and Asia. The tour takes visitors on a 26-day trek through England, Ireland, Wales, Morocco and Japan, from May 30 through June 24.
Michelle Schutten, six-time cultural tour group leader, stated: “COVID has held us back the past two years, so Western is hosting three international tours in 2022. The British Isle tour will be a fantastic combination of city and countryside, and tour of Japan will truly illustrate the culture, history and landscape. All of Western’s cultural tours include roundtrip airfare, land transportation, hotels with private bathrooms, breakfast and select meals, a full-time tour director, sightseeing tours, select entry fees, and free time.
