I love working at College and Career Readiness! The faculty and staff are amazing
coworkers. We strive hard to provide an individual plan for each student so that each
one can be successful. I love teaching in a positive environment which encourages
students to add the word “yet” at the end of each “I can’t do that.” sentence. Teaching
and helping people achieve their goals is a very rewarding career. I teach reading,
writing, math, social studies, and science. My reading and writing classes are combined
ESL/ABE to provide the basics in language, fluency, and grammar. My ABE math class
is structured to provide a strong math foundation for students to progress into the
ASE math course provided at CCR. Social studies and science are outlined to review
main points in these subjects to prepare students to be successful on the Hi-Set test.
My goal as a teacher is to continue learning and improving so that I can help each
student reach his/her goals. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending
time with my family. In the past year I have traveled to Idaho, Washington, Utah,
Arizona, and Italy. I hope this year will bring many exciting and challenging adventures.
