Industrial Maintenance

Industrial Maintenance technicians or industrial machinery mechanics are highly skilled, well-paid workers who maintain and repair machinery in many industries, such as a power plant, a manufacturing factory, a mine, an industrial plant, an oil and gas distribution system, or a wind farm—wherever there is rotating equipment.  Industrial Maintenance technicians must be proficient in many different areas including plant safety, industrial rigging, blueprint reading, bearings, lubrication, centrifugal pumps, alignment, piping systems, mechanical drives, hydraulics/pneumatics, industrial electricity, motor controls, vibration analysis, troubleshooting, machining and welding. Our classes integrate real world experiences through case studies, simulations and games.  The department fosters close ties with the corporate community that provide a wealth of practical expertise, a variety of internship opportunities, and future job prospects.

The Industrial Maintenance class is a hands-on class that therefore is not available on-line. We do however, offer evening classes and can often work with shift work schedules.
