Jake moved to Rock Springs in 2022, after growing up for most of his life in New Jersey. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, a Master of Science in Computer Science that was completed in 2025, and a collection of IT certifications. He specializes in Artificial Intelligence and a number of different programming languages, and loves to pass these skills on to students eager to learn them. Jake became a full-time faculty member in the Spring semester of 2026. When he isn’t working on computers or teaching, he spends his time traveling (having been to 45 states now, and counting), with friends, and creating music. He is a life-long musician and plays a variety of different instruments, and is currently designing and building his own analog/digital hybrid modular synthesizer.
A native of Wyoming, Jennifer was born and raised in Rock Springs. She received her Associate of Applied Science degree in Office Information Systems from Western Wyoming Community College in 1993. In 1996, she married her high-school sweetheart and in 1997 they moved to Laramie to continue their college education. During her time at the University of Wyoming, Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Mass Media (focusing on Graphic Design, minoring in Business Administration and Marketing) and a Master of Science in e.Business. She ended her time at UW as the Project Manager for the e.Business Program in the College of Business. In 2004, Jennifer and her family moved back home to Rock Springs and that is where they hang their hats to this day. In 2004, Jennifer began as an adjunct teaching at Western and in 2006 she ecame a full-time faculty member. She currently holds the position of Associate Professor of Information Systems and Computer Science. In her time away from campus, Jennifer enjoys being a freelance graphic and web designer, taking pictures, lurking on social media, and being a mom, but her favorite is spending time with her family listening to music, watching movies and sports, golfing (Her most favorite!), paddleboarding, riding ATVs, and cheering on the Wyoming Cowboys.
