Internships and Clubs
Summer Internships
Western students have unique on-campus paid summer internship opportunities with the Sweetwater BOCES Summer Theatre for Youth and/or Shakespeare Workshop. Students are hired as a member of the production team to direct, music direct, choreograph, stage manage, and/or design, and receive a stipend, housing and a tuition waiver for the summer semester.

SAFTA (Students Advocating for the Arts)
Taking part in a club can be a fun part of your college experience! Meet new people, develop your leadership skills and contribute to the campus community. SAFTA creates awareness for the arts by hosting and assisting in events on campus like Open Mic Night, haunted houses, and game night. SAFTA has also raised money to go on trips to Washington, D.C., the Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theater Festival, and other theatre related activities.

Fall/Winter Broadway Theater Scholarship/Internship
This is a scholarship/stipend for students interested in the performing arts, theater
operations, event management, marketing and similar programs. The program is open
to seniors at any Sweetwater County High School or any students enrolled at Western
Wyoming College. The successful candidate will work at the Broadway Theater and Bunning
Hall in all aspects of operations– marketing, maintenance, schedule coordination,
event planning & set-up, lighting and sound, grant research & writing, and performer
contracts. This is an independent contractor arrangement that will allow the successful
candidate flexibility in their hours. The successful candidate will receive a $2,500
stipend/scholarship for each semester. Candidates can apply for more than one semester.
