Become a Resident Assistant!
Resident Assistants help supervise residents, develop a sense of community, and create fun events. RAs receive free housing and a scholarship while holding an RA position. Responsibilities include:
- Serve as a positive role model for all students.
- Participate in RA Training two weeks prior to each semester.
- Several different administrative duties.
- Community Development and Resident Support.
- Plan and execute housing events.
- Desk shifts on weekdays and weekends.
Fill out the Western Resident Assistant Application.
Qualified Individuals will be notified about interview dates and times after applications are reviewed by the hiring committee. Not all individuals may be selected for an interview.
Hey! My name is Bradyn and I love being an RA! I grew up here in Rock Springs and have always planned on going to Western. When I started school here last year, I wanted to get involved with helping my fellow students and other on-campus residents, so I applied to be an RA. I live in Wind River Hall and am pursuing a degree in Business Administration. I love being outside, being with my family, playing sports, collecting coins, and just having a good time with friends. If you see me around campus, ask me about Haitian Creole!
My name is Ethan Coy and I am an RA to help Western Wyoming Community Collage Residents have the best experience possible. I love the Wrestling team that I get to be a part of and all of my coaches and professors. Some of my hobbies include Playing Magic the Gathering competitively, Wrestling, and Valorant. In addition to being an RA I am a part of Chess Club, the E-Sports Club and The Wrestling Team here at Western.
Hi everyone! My name is Samantha McGee. I have many different hobbies and activities I like to do but my favorite is crafting and spending time with my family. I chose to be an RA because I love helping others as well as meeting lots of new people and being an RA gives me the opportunity to do just that. There are so many amazing things about Western, but my favorite so far is how close everything. I don't have to walk miles to get to where I need to be. I look forward to meeting all the new residents on campus this year and being able to help them have a successful year at Western.
Hi! I am Kyler Hurdsman. I chose to be a RA because it's a great opportunity to get to know more people on campus. Building relationships with residents is something we push RAs to do, and it has helped me be more social than I would be otherwise. Something I love about western is how small the classes are. It makes it easy to communicate with and get to know your professors as well as peers. I love to hang out with friends in my free time, play sports, and just spending time relaxing.
My name is Lexi Brown and I chose to be an RA at Western Wyoming Community College because this has been a rewarding experience. I have strengthened my interpersonal relationships and leadership opportunities. This was the perfect chance for me increase my personal growth in many aspects. One of the things I love most about Western is the ability to be successful and throughout the journey leave with a purpose. The students are incredible people, and the staff are very helpful and kind and always willing to help. Some hobbies of mine include spending quality time with my family and friends, I love to hike and go to the lake and be outside along with going to the gym.
I'm Aubrie and I chose to be an RA because it is a good way to get to know people, and I also like helping people when they need it. I like Western because the middle marker between high school and a University. Not too big, but awesome people. One hobby of mine is drawing and painting and an interesting fact about me is that I've been on a Billboard in Vegas.
Hi, I'm Angelina! I chose to be an RA because I like being able to help students the way my RAs helped me when I was new to Western. I love the community here; all the residents, students, instructors, and other employees are so involved and close-knit. Some of my hobbies include playing video games, chess, drawing, and Magic the Gathering. I also love astronomy, and I'm a cellist.
Hey, my name is Lily Bates and I am an RA for Rocky 1. I chose to be an RA to help people. When I first decided to become an RA, my major was communications, and helping people was part of my passion. Now, I am majoring in psychology to become a therapist. Both apply to servicing others and have made me love being that helping hand. What I love about Western Wyoming Community College so far is the people. Not only are the employees, faculty, and staff amazing and genuinely caring, but so are the students. I enjoy photography, RPG games, and video games. An interesting fact about me is that I can play the guitar and I have a talent for singing. I look forward to the experiences and journey that come along with being an RA at Western. Go Mustangs!
Hey! My name is Tanah Boglino and I'm from Mountain View, WY. I chose to be an RA because I love meeting new people and it was a perfect way to get out of my comfort zone in a positive way. I love Western because it gives students an amazing opportunity to meet others while also providing them with the education that they deserve. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, hanging out with friends, and reading. I look forward to the rest of the school year! :)

Hi everyone! My name is Hagen Dewitt. I am from Lyman, WY and I am super excited to be an RA this semester. I am an RA in Rocky. I applied to be an RA to help Western students living on campus to have the best college experience. Western is an amazing school and I have enjoyed every second of being here. I love to play video games, jamming to music, and nerding out about super heroes and Star Wars. My facorite characters are Jon Kent (Superman), Star Lord, and Ezra Bridger. Hey! My name is Skylynn and I am an alternate RA! I love this position because I love western, and I love being active in the community and events! I also love getting to know people and serving the students of western! Being an alternate has pushed me out of my shell and has helped me get to know more students than I could’ve known otherwise!
