Last year Peg Larson’s sons Adam and JT participated in the 50 mile bike ride around Bear Lake with their Boy Scouts of America Troop 4. On September 23rd, she was brave enough to make the journey with her son JT, who recently became an Eagle Scout.
Not for the faint hearted, half the ride is in Utah and the other half in Idaho. There were 538 riders and seven from Troop 4. While Peg was the last to finish, she deserves recognition for taking on such a daunting ride.
“Toward the end of the ride, I thought I was catching up with some of the other participants and I was thrilled. When I finally reached them I realized they were not riders, but garbage cans. Next year I should probably wear my glasses. This was an amazing experience to share with my son,” said Larson.
Next time you see Peg around campus, be sure to congratulate her!
