ROCK SPRINGS – Western Wyoming Community College invites all southwest Wyoming high school seniors and their families to attend Senior Day on Wednesday, March 22, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Rock Springs campus. Students will have the chance to experience life as a Mustang by attending a college fair, meeting current students, visiting residence halls, and much more!
Senior Day begins with registration at 9 a.m., and the day’s program begins at 9:30 a.m. High school seniors will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, tour the campus and residence halls, speak with Financial Aid representatives, and participate in a variety of departmental scholarship competitions and auditions. There will also be a campus/student life fair in Rushmore Gymnasium beginning at 12 p.m. Fun activities include prize giveaways and a balloon drop at 12:55 p.m.
Parents will attend their own session, “Parenting Your College Freshman,” beginning at 12 p.m. There will be a FREE all-you-can-eat lunch for Senior Day guests (students and families) beginning at 11 a.m. in Mitchell’s Dining Hall.
Auditions and competitions for scholarships begin immediately after the college fair and include the following disciplines: Art and 3-D Art (please bring a portfolio); Computer Science; Exercise Science; Performing Arts (all emphases); and Business, Industry and Technology.
Senior Day is free and open to all high school seniors and their parents. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance registration is strongly recommended.
