The concert series will commence on Monday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m. with the WWCC Jazz Band Winter Concert, which will take place in the WWCC Theatre.

On Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m., Western will host the Sweetwater BOCES/WWCC Holiday Choirs Concert at Holy Communion Episcopal Church, located on 2nd Street in Rock Springs. This concert will feature the Rock Springs Collegiate Chorale and the WWCC Men’s Barbershop Choir.

On Monday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m., Western will host the Symphonic Band Winter Concert in the WWCC Theatre.

On Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m., Green River High School will host the Green River Chorale Holiday Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Finally, on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m., the Sweetwater BOCES Symphony Orchestra will perform its winter concert in the WWCC Atrium.

Holiday concert programs will focus heavily on seasonal selections, whereas winter concert programs will offer a more general musical repertoire.

Thanks to the popularity of Handel’s Messiah last year, in Spring 2016 the Department of Performing Arts will present Part II of that classical work during the Easter season. Performances are scheduled for March 18 and 19, 2016.
