ROCK SPRINGS  – Think you know history and politics? Are you a Fox News, CNN or History Channel junkie? If so, Western is giving you and your friends an opportunity to put all of that accumulated knowledge to good use.

On Thursday, March 26, at 6 p.m., the Political Science Department at Western will host the first annual “World Politics Knowledge Bowl” in the Atrium. Teams of three competitors will vie for top honors by answering questions about world politics ranging from the World War II era to the present.

This event is free and open to high school and college students and to community members from Rock Springs and Green River. Western instructors are not allowed to compete. Trophies will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place teams.

To register a team, contact Associate Professor of Political Science Cameron Otopalik with your team name at cotopalik@westernwyoming.edu by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 23.
