ROCK SPRINGS —The family of longtime Western Wyoming Community College faculty member Jon Breton “Bret” Prine has created a $10,000 scholarship endowment in the late instructor’s memory.

Prine taught heavy equipment technology at Western from 1991-2012. He passed away in July 2014.

The endowment created in his name will assist students who study diesel and heavy equipment technology and show a financial need.

WWCC Community Relations Director David Tate expressed thanks to the family for honoring Bret Prine’s memory with the generous gift.

“Bret was dedicated to his students and to helping them succeed,” Tate said. “He would be glad to know that his commitment to industrial education continues to make a difference in the lives of Western’s students.”
