Community Education offers Pet Care class for children ages 6 10 beginning Sat.

Children can learn how to care for their first pet in the Pet Care class at WWCC beginning this Saturday.

ROCK SPRINGS  – The Community Education Program at Western Wyoming Community College will offer a Child Pet Care class for children ages 6- 10 years old beginning Saturday, Feb. 14, on the Rock Springs campus. The class will teach young children the skills they need to properly care for a domestic animal and the importance of taking responsibility for the care of their pets.

The class will meet for three consecutive Saturdays from 10 – 11:30 a.m. beginning Feb. 14 and concluding Feb. 28. Lessons will include: how to properly feed and water animals, and how to clean them and clean up after them. Classes will also give children the opportunity to work with live animals in a controlled setting.

The class is taught by Instructor Tara Tyler and will meet in Room 1330 on the Rock Springs campus. Cost is $30 per child.
