2016: "We Bleed Red & Black"

WWCC Interim Head Coach Scott Dewey and First Year Assistant Coach Fredann Soto, both know their team is loaded with incredible talent. They also know this team is young and inexperienced and will need to rely strongly on being in great physical shape and remaining mentally tough throughout the season. Dewey said, "They must all commit to each other completely, as a team, in order to improve with each practice and match. The goal is to be playing our best volleyball right at the Region IX tournament."

Squad

This year's team is very young, with only two returning players, in Captains, Redshirt Freshman Mariah Smith, from Rock Springs, and Peyton Lish, Sophomore, from XX, UT. The other two sophomores on this year's squad are both transfers, Karley DeMello, who played last year at the College of Southern Idaho, and Alyssa Coe, who played at XX. The rest of the squad consists of fourteen freshmen, including Wyoming natives Rachel Boydston from Coy, WY and Abby Ellbogen from Casper, WY.

Schedule

This year's schedule will definitely prepare the Mustangs for Region XI Tournament play. Their preseason and non-conference opponents include: Defending National Champions, CSI (currently ranked #3), as well as Salt Lake Community College (#10), Snow College (#6), Western Nebraska Community College (#1), Iowa Western Community College (#2), San Jacinto College (#17) and Jefferson College (#8). Additionally, Region IX play is always extremely competitive. Right now in fact, two of the teams in our Region are ranked in the top 20: Northwest College (18) and Laramie County Community College (20).
