Western Wyoming Community College is a great place to start your career in various health services fields. You can receive an A.S. Degree
with an emphasis in several health fields or do prerequisite work at Western before transferring. The suggested courses in these programs
can vary, depending on the college to which a student will transfer to complete their undergraduate education. It will also vary according
to the chosen major.
Students can choose from a variety of majors (biology, physiology, and chemistry are three common choices) and are encouraged to check the
catalogs of the transfer institutions in which they are interested to adjust their course choices accordingly. The following curricula
should cover the vast majority of situations students will encounter.
PROGRAMS and DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
There are many program options for Pre-Health Sciences. The three Associate of Science Degree options each require 64 credits over 4
recommended semesters. The Pre-Dental Hygiene Program offered in conjunction with Sheridan College contains suggested coursework before
transferring. Western and Weber State University have entered into an articulation agreement which allows students interested in pursuing a
degree in Radiologic Technology to take their prerequisite courses at Western and then complete the radiology courses through Weber.
Below are the courses we offer that are most relevant to this program. Check the program options above to
see which courses are required. Courses in other academic areas are also required. Please view the College Catalog for course
descriptions not listed below.
